José Ventura is an olive oil expert and working as a General Manager at the Cooperativa de Olivicultores de Valpaços, Portugal. He is also their main Olive oil sommelier.Heading the Cooperative for almost 30 years allowed him to be one of the leading experts in olive oil industry.
Under his leadership,their production secured many international prestigious olive oil competitions.He is one of the extended panel jury of the school of Institus Superieur d'Agronomia, university of Lisbon.
Thanks to his subject matter expertise, he is invited every year for the concurso internacional de azeite virgem extra Ovibeja IOOC Portugual as sommelier as well as on others national olive oil competitions in Portugal (Concurso de azeite virgem extra Feira Nacional de Olivicultura,concurso nacional de azeites de Portugal; concurso de azeite virgem de Tras-os montes e Alto Douro). He has been also a jury member for IOOC Brazil and IOOC Dubai.
